What is KVHRA?

(KVHRA) is Kennebec Valley’s local association for human resource professionals and other professionals concerned with knowing and using the best methods to manage their people and organization effectively.

Our Mission: To advance the human resources profession by providing opportunities for human resources practitioners to gain knowledge in the field and to exchange experience through networking with other professionals and organizations.

There are three categories of membership; only Professional members have voting rights and may hold office. All members must be in good standing of SHRM.
Professional members are…
• Individuals actively engaged in human resource management at the exempt level, who have a minimum of three years related experience and whose primary responsibility is in the field.
Consultant members are…
• Individuals who have significant experience in the human resources profession and who are actively engaged in providing advice and expertise to the human resource community as a consultant.
Associate members are…
• Individuals who do not meet the qualifications of the other classifications of membership but who demonstrate a bona fide interest in human resource management and are employed in FLSA nonexempt human resources positions. Associate membership includes students who are actively enrolled in a human resources degree program at the college level.
